Project Description
We were asked by the client to create a lifting device able to pick up and rotate an item from stowage, ready for the next machining stage.
The item couldn’t be handled with regular lifting gear because nylon material was required, in addition to the all-in-one rotation action.
Firstly, the product dimensions were identified and used to manufacture clamps with exchangeable machined nylon pieces.
A simple indexed rotating bearing setup with a locking mechanism was also incorporated.
